First edition. Saldanha's Observações gave rise to a storm of controversy, including this pamphlet which criticises his conduct. It gives a detailed account of the events leading up to Saldanha's flight from Porto to England. Documents relating to his conduct are reproduced on pp. 63-104, document No. 13 being reproduced in facsimile. A second edition appeared in Rio de Janeiro in 1830.
